How Tomron Construction collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Who we are
Tomron Construction Ltd. is a window, door and exterior renovation contractor serving homeowners across the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Our office is at 20368 Ditton St, Maple Ridge, BC V2X 1C1. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit tomron.ca or get in touch with us, and what we do with it.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to answer your questions and quote your project.
- Information you send us. When you use our contact form we receive your name, email address, phone number, the service you need help with, and your message. If you call or email us directly, we keep the details you give us.
- Project details. Photos, measurements, addresses and notes you share so we can prepare an estimate.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our host records things such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, mainly for security and to keep the site running.
The Cost Estimator on our website runs in your browser. The options you pick are not sent to us unless you choose to contact us afterwards.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry, book a site visit and prepare a quote.
- To carry out and follow up on work you hire us for, including warranty and service.
- To keep our website secure and working properly.
- To send you updates about your project. We will only send marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, and every message will include a way to opt out.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses cookies needed for pages, forms and security to work, plus analytics and advertising cookies. These run by default when you visit: Google Analytics, to understand which pages are helpful, in aggregate form; Google Ads, to measure the performance of our Google ads and to count quote requests that come from them; and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to measure the performance of our Facebook and Instagram ads. You can opt out at any time by using the “Privacy & Ad Choices” link in the footer of any page, by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser (we honour it automatically), or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings. Opting out stops these tools from loading and clears their cookies, though some parts of the site may not work as well.
Who else may see it
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the business, such as our website host, email and form-handling tools, and the suppliers and installers who need project details to do the work. They may use your information only for those purposes. Links on our site to Google Maps, Google reviews, BC Hydro, FortisBC and similar sites lead to third parties with their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and project records for as long as we need them to serve you, meet warranty and tax obligations, and resolve any disputes. When we no longer need them, we delete or anonymize them.
Your choices and rights
We handle personal information in line with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL). You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to how we use it, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Keeping it safe
We use reasonable safeguards, such as secure hosting, HTTPS and limited access, to protect your information. No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date below shows when it was last changed. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
